The Tempo Cross 8 is a lightweight hybrid bike that makes your rides and commutes faster. With its lightweight 7005 Alloy frame and fork, dual disc brakes, and high efficiency internal 8-speed gearing, you can tackle a wide range of terrain - in a wide range of conditions - without fatigue or discomfort.

The Tempo Cross 8 uses the Shimano Alfine 8-speed hub - offering a high efficiency design that delivers a surprisingly wide gear range in a compact design. The gearing is controlled by the Shimano Alfine 8-speed rapid fire shifter for fast, simple and precise shifting control at any time - while pedaling, coasting or even at a complete stop. Plus, with this fully enclosed so there are no external moving parts. This means your gearing last longer - without adjustments, repairs or maintenance.

The Tempo Cross 8 was designed for use on paved or hardpack terrain. Its aluminum front fork is light and agile, to help you make quick work of hills and keep you moving at top speed. And with its flat bar design, it gives you a more heads-up riding position for improved visibility, safety and comfort.

The Tempo Cross 8 also uses front and rear disc brakes to give you extra stopping power and confidence - especially if the going gets messy. With the disc brake calipers and rotors raised above the road, they minimize contamination from road debris to make your braking more consitent in wet, muddy or snowy conditions.

The Tempo Cross 8 also features the Sussex shaft drive system. The Sussex shaft drive has been in production for 20 years, and this 3rd generation shaft drive is the most efficient and lightest weight shaft drive system on the market. With its fully enclosed design, the shaft drive smoothly and efficiently transfers power from the pedals to the rear wheel - without adjustments or exposure to mud, dirt and other debris that would otherwise contaminate external chains and derailleurs. In turn, the shaft drive stays cleaner to keep grease and mess off your hands and clothes.

The Tempo Cross 8 uses a host of high quality components - all designed to keep the bike simple to operate and simple to maintain. This includes double wall alloy rims to keep the wheels stiff and straight so they don't need to be adjustment as often; the stainless steel spokes to add strength and durability; and the alloy components to resist rust and corrosion. But the Tempo Cross also offers convenience features as well - such as an angle adjustable stem for setting just the right riding position; and a fully adjustable seat with quick release lever for easy adjustment of the seat height, angle, and horizontal position.
